Dylan's nursery is coming along...

Poppa and Daddy spent the weekend putting up the wainscoting and the chair rail. It looks TERRIFIC! We still have to paint some of the wainscoting & chair rail to match the rest of the trim in the room. Who knew that the white throughout our house is actually not a white-white, its a tad off white... which we found out most builders do not use a bright white. After Tim spent hours painting ALL the wainscoting bright white... my dad came over a couple of weeks ago to hang 3 pieces and it didn't match the baseboards, window seal, or doors in the room, which just didn't look that great. SO, Tim has spent the last week and a half painting the rest of the wainscoting and this weekend they hung it all! Tim now has to repaint the ones my dad hung a few weeks ago to match the rest, sand it all, and touch up all the paint and it'll be done! Yippee!

We are so grateful for my dad's handy-manness (yes, I just made that word up) and his genuine willingness to help us out with various projects, he's the greatest! We are also very thankful to Grandma Michelle who gave us the gift of all the supplies needed for us to fix up her grandson's nursery! We are blessed.

Here are some pics of the work in progress.
The guys at work earlier in the day. Tim thought it was funny to take a picture of what the family was doing 'the day we worked on Dylan's room' so he snuck these pictures when I wasn't looking...lol.
Here I am doing laundry......and the girls in their usual spot...Still slavin' away!Sadie decided to join Poppa and Daddy in Dylan's room. And Bella just watched from outside Dylan's room! A few more touch ups and what not, but almost done!

Sunday we also went and got Dylan's dresser and crib. We are hoping by the end of the week to have it all set-up in the room.

On a side note, Tim and I had our first class... breastfeeding! It was really interesting. I have been reading a book on breastfeeding, but the class really validated all of our reasons for making the decision to breastfeed. It is what God intended and the health benefits are so worth it for our baby boy! Being at the class and hearing the lactation consultant refer to all the babies in future tense, really made me anxious for Dylan's arrival. We cannot wait to be his parents. Check back with us on December 13th after our 28th-29th week check-up and glucose test screening.

13 Weeks to go!
