We had a great Thanksgiving with the family Thursday and then headed to Austin for the t.u./A& M game, which you know we BTHO t.u. It was an exciting game... freezing... but exciting! I was all bundled up and not much of an active fan, lol. But, my husband was certainly pumped up and yelling the whole time with all his buddies. I immediately realized I should have let it be a 'guys' trip... oh well... hindsight! Tim said that Thursday was 'his' day of football and Friday (Black Friday) would be 'my' day of shopping... and it was! Here are some pics from the win!
Us at a tailgate.
We stayed in Austin Thursday night and then woke up early Friday morning and headed to Sears to get me (us) a new Dyson vacuum that they had a great deal on! Then we went to Wal-Mart and got a Canon Rebel camera... I am super pumped about that... it is a Christmas gift from my mom and dad to Tim and I, so I have to wait to open it! I really wanted a good camera for when Dylan arrives, so I can capture all his cuteness!!
Then we went to San Antonio stopping in San Marcus along the way to shop at the outlet malls... even I was ready to get out of that place! Tim was a good sport, cracking me up the entire time!!! But, we did get some people checked off our gift list. Friday night we planned on walking around the riverwalk and finding a place to have dinner, but we soon found out why there were a bazillion people everywhere... it was the Christmas parade/lighting... wow, not to be a scrooge but we immediately walked back to our hotel and went in the opposite direction to find dinner. Let's just say, we got our exercise in for the weekend... our hotel was centrally located by the riverwalk but we had to walk a few blocks of find a restaurant that wasn't packed! We ended up eating at Luke, which was pretty good! I really enjoy being in San Antonio, great place to visit.Saturday we got back and put all our decorations up for Christmas. This is by far my favorite time of year. I keep my radio in the car on 99.1 because they play Christmas music all day, every day until Christmas! I can't wait for Dylan's first Christmas next year! This weekend I was reminded of how much I love my husband and how funny & considerate he can be. I really enjoyed our little mini get-a-way.
God is good... all the time.
