WCE Baby Shower & 37 Week Check-Up!

Last week my team gave me a shower at school! It was really sweet and I really appreciate all they did to make it special!

36 Weeks & 4 days- Check-Up

This was the first appointment that Dr. Mullin checked to see how 'things' were progressing. To our surprise, I am 2 centimeters dilated and slightly effaced. I know this doesn't mean Dylan will be here soon or anything, but it is nice to know that my body is doing what it should naturally do! Relief. I am still feeling relatively comfortable and do not have any complaints! I don't feel like I am as far along as I am, mainly because I've always had this misconception that at the end of your pregnancy you're supposed to be miserable and just 'ready for the baby to come out', I don't feel that way. So I am kind of in denial that he would come any sooner than his due date or after. Dr. Mullin said either next Tuesday, or the next, we will do another ultrasound... I was glad to hear that, I am very anxious to find out where he is measuring at and his position!! I wasn't sure if Dr. Mullin said if his head was down or not, but Tim said tonight that she did say his head was down and that would be why I've been feeling a lot of pressure. So all in all, it was a good appointment! I can't wait to meet our baby boy!

I have a cute little story to share. Yesterday I had bus duty and as I was waiting by the buses for all the kids to load, a little kindergartener girl (whom I've never met) walked by and stopped in front of me, she said "Are you getting a baby?" I said "Yes, I am!" and she replied, "When will you get it?"... I laughed and just said "I am hoping to get him in the next couple of weeks." she said, "Oh, okay, well you seem ready!" and just walked off to her bus. LOL! So cute! :)
